Rest Assured You Are Still Insured

The staff at Josh London State Farm Insurance are still on hand, making sure everyone has just the right coverage.

We all know how complicated insurance — any type of insurance — can seem. There are so many different options and products it can seem a bit overwhelming at times. This is where Josh London with State Farm in Leland comes into the picture.

“My priority has always been to help to educate a client so they better understand why a particular coverage is best for them,” London says.

Now more than ever, in these days of COVID-19, he takes pride in continuing that tradition.

A former Marine, London’s insurance career began in 2009. He worked 11 years with a national industrial supply company in the Raleigh-Durham area, until one of his buddies with the same company left and opened a State Farm Insurance branch. Encouraged by what he was told and saw, London decided to make the same career leap and went to work for a State Farm Agent so he could learn the ropes.

London has always enjoyed working with the public and being able to help people, and he found he was able to do this in a much more effective way in the insurance industry. Only two years after his career change, he opened his own office in Brunswick Forest and has since become a successful and valued member of the Brunswick County business community.

“With home closings and auto, boats, motorcycle and RV purchases being at their highest, this is typically our busiest time of the year,” London says. But the COVID-19 crisis has slowed business to a crawl. In fact, London says they had to lock their doors and serve clientele over the phone, email and online through the website (statefarm.com).

This has given London and his staff the opportunity to reach out and let folks know that they are still available to serve them in the event of a claim. They have set up their computers to be able to work virtually with customers to make sure they can go the extra mile even during a shelter in place order.

After this pandemic has passed, London and many of the other business leaders of our community will continue to cement their already strong relationships with their customers.

“During this unprecedented time it is now more important than ever that we as a local community support one another any way we can,” London says. “It could be calling your neighbor to see how they are, picking up needed items for someone who is at risk or unable to get out, helping a local charity or supporting a local small business. As the late, great Mr. Rogers used to say, ‘When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me ‘Look for the helpers.’ You will always find people who are helping.”’
