Belville Kicks Off Widening Project for a Better Commute

On Monday, July 31, a Kickoff Ceremony was held by the Town of Belville, NCDOT, Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, Chatham Civil Contracting, and AECOM. This ceremony marked the start of the NC 133 Widening Project, which will commence in early August. Included in this project will be the construction of a multi-use path and a crosswalk at the Blackwell Road intersection.

Belville Mayor Mike Allen began the event with introductions, followed by remarks from Chad Kimes, NCDOT Division 3 Engineer, Mike Kozlosky, WMPO Executive Director, and Luke Pierce, Project Manager for Chatham Civil Contracting.
