Novant Health opens a new infusion clinic in Shallotte, expanding IV therapy and chemotherapy access for Brunswick and Columbus County patients.

Novant Health has opened a new outpatient infusion clinic in Shallotte, giving residents of Brunswick County and neighboring Columbus County a more convenient option for IV infusion therapy and chemotherapy closer to home.

New infusion clinic brings IV therapy and chemotherapy services closer to home
The new location, Novant Health Infusion Shallotte, provides outpatient IV medication infusions for a wide range of conditions.

Services can support patients who need infusion-based treatment for:
• Anemia
• Asthma
• Heart failure
• Inflammatory bowel disease
• Migraine
• Multiple sclerosis
• Osteoporosis
• Rheumatoid arthritis

The clinic will also offer chemotherapy infusions, expanding local access for patients undergoing cancer treatment.

“We continue to invest in the facilities and services needed to support robust care throughout our growing community,” said Kevin Briggs, president of Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center. “We look forward to welcoming patients at our new location that is conveniently accessed from U.S. 17.”

Novant Health Infusion Shallotte opened July 21 and will initially operate on a limited schedule:
• Hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

More Novant Health expansion projects planned across Brunswick County

The Shallotte infusion clinic is part of a broader push by Novant Health to expand access to care across Brunswick County as the region grows. Additional projects in development include:
• New ambulatory surgery center in the Leland area expected to open this summer, offering outpatient surgical care.
• Expanded services at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, including an expanded MRI space and a cardiac catheterization lab. The new lab is expected to allow patients to receive interventional cardiology procedures, such as stent placements, without traveling outside the county.
• The future 20-bed Novant Health Leland Medical Center, planned to provide hospital care for growing northern Brunswick County.
• A future free-standing emergency department in Carolina Shores.
