Meet the man behind the lens of Matt McGraw Photography and Vibrant Real Estate Media.
Matt McGraw at Matt McGraw Photography is a name you might recognize, whether from his work shooting weddings and engagements, senior photos, events and conventions, food and beverage — or from the pages of his work found right here in this publication.
The man behind the lens got his start as a newspaper journalist focusing on sports media before cutting his teeth in wedding work when a friend asked him to capture their event. Photographing weddings allowed McGraw to experiment with new techniques and continue to hone his skills in the craft.
“I told a story versus just photographing the wedding and formals. My newspaper days taught me the technical aspects of the camera, which allowed me to create what is now knows as wedding photojournalism. Then I used the knowledge of the remote flash system you see in the rafters at arenas and dialed that in to create specialized a lighting system.”
His resume only grew from there. Now photographing a range of styles and subjects, along with providing insights as a photo consultant, McGraw has most recently expanded his work into the realm of real estate.
Enter Vibrant Real Estate Media.
Now proudly providing quality real estate photography and video to places throughout southeastern North Carolina, Vibrant Real Estate Media has been making a name for itself since its official start in December 2024.
Case in point: The consistent high-quality photography and speedy turnaround time means clients can expect to have their photos in-hand as quickly as the next day.
“I use different aspects of skill when I photograph houses,” McGraw says. “I use a different approach from typical photos by creating a more personal approach and using magazine-style photography. I take photos with the thought of what will sell the house.”
Beyond efficient results, Vibrant promises professional editing, a blue sky backdrop and HDR processing so your real estate shots look nothing less than top tier. The sky’s truly the limit, thanks to Vibrant’s partnership with licensed pilots to snap the ideal bird’s-eye-views to showcase on your real estate listing or website.
A two-man dream team, Vibrant Real Estate Media currently consists of McGraw and Derek Sarrge, whose resume includes photographer, Licensed Drone Pilot and real estate broker.
“Our goal is to provide awesome photography but also awesome real estate agent client service,” McGraw says.
The simple system goes like this: A real estate agent, builder or individual owner (hey, Airbnb and Vrbo hosts!) can place an order on the Vibrant Real Estate Media website by creating a username and login, which is what they’ll use to access their images when ready.
Also accessible via app, clients can receive their next-day assets without waiting around — from still shots to drone images to high-quality videos of the house capturing everything from a walk-through to an online floor plan.
“Our goal is to offer agents and homeowners a different, simple and unique experience in real estate photography,” McGraw says. “We want to stand out, not just in informational house photos but in all-star high-quality marketing images and videos for agents, brokers and individual owners.”
