Exceptional Customer Service

The Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce announces the winners of the Summer 2023 Golden Pineapple Awards.

This summer the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce awarded 40 local businesses a Golden Pineapple Award at a ceremony held at the chamber office. Golden Pineapple Awards are given quarterly to those businesses nominated by their customers for providing consistent and exceptional customer service. The pineapple is the international symbol of hospitality, which is the reason the chamber chose it for the award.

“Customer service is the new marketing, it’s what differentiates one business from another,” says Jay Baer, author and president of Convince & Convert, an online customer service and digital marketing consultancy.
