Synchronicity, featuring a flutist, pianist and vocalist, will perform in Southport on August 5 to raise funds for Brunswick Partnership for Housing.

Musical trio Synchronicity will perform a benefit concert for Brunswick Partnership for Housing on August 5.

“Songs for a Summer Evening,” a classical and traditional concert, will be held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 205 E. Moore Street in Southport. A reception will follow the concert. All proceeds from the free-will offering will benefit the Brunswick Partnership for Housing, which provides transitional housing for families in need.

Members of Synchronicity are Michele Barkalow, flutist; Diane Lusk, pianist; and Carol Amaya, soprano.

“All of us in Synchronicity came to Southport from different places and feel fortunate to have found a home in this beautiful place,” says Barkalow. “We are happy to be able to use our musical talents to help the Brunswick Partnership for Housing assist others less fortunate to find their homes.”

Brunswick Partnership for Housing (BPH) is a nonprofit organization in Brunswick County addressing the needs of homeless families and individuals seeking housing and advocating for affordable housing. Established in 2019 BPH seeks to provide a stable living environment for those seeking a permanent housing solution.
