Belville Elementary Assistant Principal named Principal of Southport Elementary

Brunswick County Schools is proud and excited to announce the appointment of Peg Cozine-Bourne to the principal of Southport Elementary School for the 2018-2019 school year.

Peg Cozine-Bourne

Mrs. Cozine-Bourne has teaching and administrative experience at all three levels of a child’s education: elementary, middle and high.  She started her administrative career as an assistant principal as West Brunswick High School and has worked with the Belville community since 2012.  Before becoming an administrator, Peg worked as a Gifted Education Specialist, middle school language arts teacher, and a high school English teacher.

She received National Board Certification in 2006, and renewed her certification in 2016. She received her Masters in School Administration from UNCW in 2010.  This year she was named a finalist for Brunswick County Schools Instructional Support Employee of the Year.
