Allayna Dail Promoted to Director of Community Relations for the City of Southport

Allayna Dail, who has dedicated nearly three years of service to the City of Southport, has been elevated to the position of Director of Community Relations.

Graduating with a degree in History from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2017, Dail has been actively engaged in serving the New Hanover and Brunswick County regions for over seven years.

Initially joining the City as a Marketing Specialist in 2021, Allayna enthusiastically immersed herself in organizing events, supporting non-profit initiatives, and overseeing various responsibilities.

In her new capacity, Dail envisions ambitious plans for upcoming city events and is eager to inject fresh energy into Southport’s vibrant events and film scene.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, Dail emphasizes her gratitude for the opportunity to further serve Southport and its community, a responsibility she wholeheartedly embraces.

Assistant City Manager Dorrie Dutton commends Allayna’s contributions, stating, “We appreciate Allayna’s dedication and hard work in propelling both the City and the Community Relations Department forward over the past five months. Her efforts have been instrumental, and we are confident in her ability to excel in her new role as Director.”
