Swell-Home brings a fresh concept in home design to the coastal Carolinas.

Swell-Home, a Hunter Douglas Gallery servicing residential and commercial clients, opened its new showroom in Belville on June 1.

With more than 20 years of experience, owner Jessica Pickett works exclusively with Hunter Douglas to showcase the latest in Smart Home technology and window fashions. A National Council for Interior Design Certified Interior Designer, Pickett takes clients beyond simply covering windows, guiding them to discover the perfect shades, blinds, shutters or draperies to fit their unique home or office situation. Swell-Home also offers in-home, in-office or virtual design consultations and color counseling, helping home and business owners discover the perfect options for their space and budget.

The sleek, 1,800-square-foot showroom features the latest in Hunter Douglas products, from motorized blinds to Sea TexTM screen shades made from ocean plastic.

In addition to working with home and business owners, Swell-Home will partner with residential and commercial designers, contractors, real estate professionals, painters and window installers to find the perfect fit for their projects.

“I try to look at not only covering a window, but at improving the quality of light and thinking about how the person will use their home or workplace,” Pickett says. “The right window treatments can create privacy, beautifully filter natural light, improve energy efficiency and mute outside noise.”

Once selections are made, installation is handled by an expert who has worked with high-end clients for more than 30 years.
