Spring in Leland
Egg hunts, concerts and movies in the park return in April.
The Town of Leland is excited to bring back some of the community’s favorite events in their traditional formats this spring. From egg hunts for kids of all ages to movies and music in the park, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Adults can join an egg-stravaganza at Night Hunt on April 7 at 7 pm in Founders Park. This popular event will feature food trucks, live music by Gump Fiction, movie trivia and a flashlight egg hunt with prizes donated by local businesses and restaurants. All participants must be age 21 or older and bring their own flashlight. This event is BYOB, and only beer and wine are allowed. T’Geaux Boys and Poor Piggys food trucks will be on site. Tickets must be purchased online in advance to participate. Registration will not be available at the event.
Spring celebrations continue with the Youth Egg Hunt, happening April 16 at 10 am at Northwest District Park. Hunts are available for children up to age 10 and will be divided into age groups. There will be prizes galore! Bring a basket and prepare for a visit from Mr. E.B., who will arrive after all the hunts have finished. This event is free and requires no pre-registration.
Enjoy family movies under the night sky with the return of Movies in the Park. Bring a blanket or chairs, a picnic, and family and friends, but no pets or alcohol. All movies take place in Founders Park, and food trucks will be on site.

“As the Town continues growing, so do the beloved events that we’re thrilled to bring back this spring,” Mayor Brenda Bozeman said.
“We’ve certainly learned over the last couple years how important it is to come together with friends and family, and we’re proud to offer wonderful opportunities to do just that in Leland as we celebrate what makes our community so special.”
Movies in the Park and Live at the Park are subject to cancellation depending on the weather. Visit the Town of Leland website or follow the Town of Leland and the Town of Leland Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department on social media for event updates.
