Skeet Shoot for Lower Cape Fear Hospice

First Citizens Bank and Land Rover Cape Fear joined together to support Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center with a skeet shoot at Buccaneer Gun Club in Leland on Saturday, March 29.

Participants competed in teams of four and were treated to breakfast, lunch, instruction, two full rounds of skeet shooting and additional shooting opportunities, plus lots of swag and prizes. Proceeds benefited Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter, a nonprofit agency that specializes in end-of-life care and provides healthcare and comfort to people with advanced illnesses; support and counseling to families; and education to the community in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover, Onslow and Pender counties.

As a native of southeastern North Carolina, Adam has a passion for sharing the stories of its people and places. He is eager to write about many of the amazing neighbors and experiences we have here. After graduating from Appalachian State University, he was a reporter for The Alamance News and Creekside Chronicle in the Piedmont Triad area. Not too long after, he earned a master’s degree in health education at East Carolina University in 2011.
