Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce’s Coastal Home and Lifestyle Showcase and Oak Island Sunset Run are coming to Oak Island on August 25.

Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Coastal Home & Lifestyle Showcase will be held Thursday, August 25 on Oak Island. This outdoor show was originally scheduled for May 1, but weather postponed the event to August 25.

The event will highlight businesses that specialize in home maintenance and repair, outdoor living and supporting a healthy and active lifestyle. The showcase will also feature a live performance by the Dave’s Not Home Band and various business demonstrations. Food vendors will also be onsite. Admission is free and open to the public.

“The Coastal Home & Lifestyle Showcase provides an opportunity for residents and second homeowners to connect with many of the businesses that provide home and lifestyle services in our area in a fun and laid-back setting,” says Karen Sphar, event organizer and executive vice president of the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce. “This annual event is one of the ways the chamber fulfills its mission of creating opportunities for the local business community.”

The Coastal Home & Lifestyle Showcase is one of two events the chamber is organizing at Middleton Park on Thursday, August 25. The Oak Island Sunset Run/Walk, sponsored by Dosher Memorial Hospital, will be held the same day.

Businesses that would like to participate in the showcase are encouraged to complete the online application at coastalhomeandlifestyleshow.com by August 10. The show is open to chamber member businesses and non-members. The vendor fee is $160 for members ($260 for non-members) and $50 for member food and beverage businesses and non-profit organizations ($100 non-members).

The Coastal Home & Lifestyle Showcase is an event of the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce and is sponsored by Lynda Haraway Group, Salt Air Heating & Cooling, Southport Magazine and The State Port Pilot.
