Friendsgiving Race Goes Virtual

by Nov 11, 2020Events, Health, North Brunswick

Leland Lady Runners’ Friendsgiving Race is about running and giving.

BlueWave Dentistry is proud to sponsor the Leland Lady Runners’ second annual Friendsgiving 5-miler/5K/1-mile community fundraiser. This year it will be a virtual run event that will benefit local schools. In addition, there is a food drive to benefit the local community.

In this race you will have the opportunity to gather your friends, family and neighbors for a virtual festive race experience that gives back to the community. Using the RaceJoy App, you will have a GPS-timed virtual race experience with live results. Choose from one of the featured routes in the lovely Brunswick Forest community or run any route anywhere.

Although the running is virtual, the RaceJoy App provides the most advanced race-day experience available today. By tapping into the power of your smart phone, RaceJoy delivers real time performance information, live leader boards, turn by turn instructions and the ability for family and friends to give you support from anywhere. More details on downloading and using the RaceJoy App will be sent to you in an email after you complete your registration.
When you run, you help Leland Lady Runners give back to the students in local schools. Last year the race was able to give money to eight schools. The top two schools received $1,000 each. This year they hope to give more schools more money.
