Pick up a free book and meet the new Brunswick County Literacy Council executive director on July 11 in Mulberry Park.

Book lovers of all ages, come one, come all!

Brunswick County Literacy Council (BCLC) is partnering with the Town of Shallotte to host a free book giveaway on Sunday, July 11 at Mulberry Park in Shallotte.

There will be hundreds of books to choose from at no charge (donations are gratefully accepted), including children’s, young adult, biographies and memoir, mystery, thriller, literary fiction, nonfiction, contemporary fiction, sci-fi and much, much more.

Attendees will meet BCLC’s new executive director, Melissa Warren, along with its amazing team of volunteers and board members, and learn about the free programs and services that BCLC, now in its 40th year, offers to Brunswick County residents.
