Easter’s On Its Way

A variety of fun, family-friendly events are coming up in Brunswick County.

Do you have family members or out-of-town guests visiting for Easter this year? Are you looking for a day of fun for everyone, including your furry friends? You’ll want to make sure to attend one of the holiday activities happening in Brunswick County to celebrate Easter.

Bunny Dayz Easter Egg Hunt in Shallotte
Saturday, March 25 at 9 am
Mulberry Park, 123 Mulberry Street, Shallotte
5,000 eggs will be up for grabs at Mulberry Park in Shallotte. Kids will also be able to get their faces painted by volunteers from Coastal Carolina Outreach. Sunset Slush will be selling their famous icy treats. The Easter Bunny will stop by for anyone who would like to snap a selfie. Snacks will be provided at the event.

Leland Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 1 at 10 am
Northwest District Park, 1937 Andrew Jackson Highway, Leland
Families are encouraged to arrive early to get parked and should plan to bring a basket for the eggs they collect. Children attending the egg hunt will be divided into six age groups, ranging from ages 0 to 10 years old. The Easter Bunny will make a visit after the egg hunts have concluded. This event is organized by the Town of Leland.

Oak Island’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Doggie Egg-stravaganza
Saturday, April 1 at 10 am
William ‘Bill’ Smith Park, 4410 Fish Factory Road, Oak Island
Oak Island Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Bill Smith Park beginning at 10 am. Children up to 10 years old may participate. After the egg hunt, the 6th Annual Doggie Egg-stravaganza will take place at 11:30 am at the Salty Dog Park within Bill Smith Park. Dogs will be able to run free and find some Easter treats of their own. The treat hunts for the dogs will be broken down into two groups, dogs over 25 pounds and dogs under 25 pounds.

Bunny Hop Brunswick NC

Bunny Hop at Ocean Isle Beach

Town Center Park, 11 E. Second Street, Ocean Isle Beach
Come out to Town Center Park for OIB’s Annual Bunny Hop. Children will follow the Easter Bunny on the bunny trail with their Easter baskets to collect treats and have a chance to play games and win prizes. There will be fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. While you are there, register to win an Ultimate Easter Basket. This family event is sponsored by the Town of Ocean Isle Beach.

Easter Egg Hunt Calabash NC

Calabash Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 1 from 11 am to 1 pm
Calabash Community Park, 868 Persimmon Road, Calabash
Get your child’s picture taken with the Easter Bunny courtesy of Calabash Photography Art and Curios. There is a limit to one photo per family. The Town of Calabash has planned egg hunts that are grouped by age and held in intervals for families with more than one child. Face painting and other activities will also be available.
