Creativity with a Purpose
Brunswick Community and Connections’ Beachy Draw-a-Thon
Looking for a creative way to make a difference in your own community? Join the Beachy Draw-a-Thon!
It’s been said before that art has the power to heal and soothe, and there’s no better time like the present to prove it. Brunswick Cabinets and Countertops of Supply wants you to take advantage of this unplanned downtime to get artsy for a purpose and show your love and support for our local communities in the first-ever Brunswick Community and Connections’ Beachy Draw-A-Thon.
“We believe acts of kindness of any size are so important right now,” says Ann Tindal, marketing advisor for Brunswick Cabinets and Countertops. “Having recently launched an event series at our showroom called Brunswick Community and Connections with the purpose of bringing the local community together, we felt the pull to continue its purpose but shift our efforts online for the community’s safety as the health crisis began.”
Brunswick Community and Connections is an event series designed to bring the local community together through a series of free and fun events. Their in-person events are also intended to give local goods retailers a place to expand their brand’s visibility within the community.
Whether it is the stunning sunsets, the silky-smooth sand dunes, the beautiful blue herons, the arts and music or the friends and neighbors, Brunswick Cabinets and Countertops is challenging the community to share what they love most about living in this beautiful part of the state — in a drawing.
“We want to be able to share drawings socially during this time to help us remember why Brunswick County is a such a special place,” Tindal says.
This event is open to anyone — first-time artists, young artists, senior artists, artists by trade and everyone in between. Designers Chris Gibson and Cindy Bennett-McCune at Brunswick Cabinets and Countertops is challenging the entire community to tap into their inner designer. Not only will they offer cash prizes to the winning drawing, but they’ll also donate $1,000 to the overall winner’s favorite local charity.
To participate in the Beachy Draw-A-Thon, participants must draw a design that represents their love for our beach communities. All submissions will be entered to win cash prizes. There will be a $250 prize for the overall winner and five $100 prizes for the following categories:
