The story of their journey to Oak Island.

Where did you live before relocating to Brunswick County and what was your occupation?

We lived in Greensboro, North Carolina. Our occupation was marketing and sales.

Why did you choose to move here and did you previously have friends or family here?

We wanted to purchase a vacation home in which to retire. We ended up loving Oak Island and decided to build a home specific to our
preferences. We already had a few friends in the area and are making more friends all the time.

What community did you decide to move to and why?

Our home is on Oak Island. We wanted to be close to the beach.
We’re enjoying the easy and relaxed lifestyle that the location provides.

What is your job or what are your hobbies here?

Our hobbies include an active lifestyle doing things like running, biking, swimming and other outdoor activities. My husband is retiring, and
I’ll be selling real estate.

How long have you lived here?

We have lived in our dream home for a year.

Who built your home and why did you decide to build with them?

We love looking at homes while in the construction phase and found a floor plan that really appealed to us. It was a home built by SeaCoast Homes.
We followed the construction through all phases and were very impressed by the quality of their homes. Our decision was made at that point.

What’s your favorite thing about southeastern North Carolina?

We love the diversity that North Carolina provides like the seasons and topography, and the beaches are second to none.
