Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® CEO Cynthia Walsh earns CAE designation.

Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® CEO Cynthia Walsh recently earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

According to ASAE, the CAE credential is the marker of a committed association professional who has demonstrated the wide range of knowledge essential to manage an association in today’s challenging environment.

“An organization is only as strong as its leadership, and we are proud of Cynthia’s commitment to continually developing her skills and knowledge as a leader,” says Jennifer Brown, 2021 BCAR President. “By investing the time and energy required to earn the CAE credential, Cynthia has set herself apart as a true leader among association executives.”

Walsh says she is grateful and proud to hold the CAE credential.

“After putting in countless study hours over the past year, including getting up before dawn to study on many occasions, I have a renewed appreciation for this credential,” she says. “I’m excited to continue working to help ensure that BCAR serves its members and our community at the highest level.”

The Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential is the marker of a committed association professional who has demonstrated the wide range of knowledge essential to manage an association in today’s challenging environment.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements, including work experience and professional development criteria.

The CAE Program serves to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance and designate those who have acquired and have demonstrated knowledge essential to the practice of association management. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

ASAE is a membership organization of more than 44,000 association executives and industry partners representing 7,400 organizations. Its members lead, manage and work in or partner with organizations in more than a dozen association management disciplines, from executive management to finance to technology. With support of the ASAE Foundation, a separate nonprofit entity, ASAE provides resources, education, ideas and advocacy to enhance the power and performance of the association and nonprofit community.
