With a new office in Oak Island, co-founders Lindsey Jenkins and Stephen Votino continue the vision of growing Century 21 Collective in Brunswick County.

Century 21 Collective is a classic in real estate with a new office in Oak Island. In July 2022, Lindsey Jenkins and her business partner, Stephen Votino, both experienced Century 21 Realtors/brokers, co-founded Century 21 Collective. Opening the new location has gotten Jenkins closer to her goal of “growing Century 21 in Brunswick County.”

Jenkins, who first started selling real estate in 2017, believes in the Century 21 brand, so much so that when she had the opportunity to bring the brand back to Oak Island, she knew it was what she needed to do.

“Before I got into real estate, I researched brands and realized that Century 21 was the best brand for me,” she says.

When Jenkins and Votino, a Century 21 CEO from Raleigh, decided to open Century 21 Collective in Oak Island, they found the perfect location.

In 2008 the original Century 21 office that served Oak Island, one of the largest real estate firms in the area at the time, closed. Jenkins and Votino purchased the office building, and in September 2023 joined forces with Lynda Haraway, an award-winning Century 21 agent who was a top producer for the original Oak Island franchise.

“Lynda is a Century 21 icon,” Jenkins says.

Haraway also brought along a team of 12 seasoned agents, quickly growing the firm and its reach.

Today, this top-producing, full-service real estate firm works with home buyers and sellers spanning its reach all over North Carolina, including all of Brunswick County, Wilmington, the Triad and Triangle areas. Its team of 28 brokers from diverse backgrounds covers a wide range of industry specialties from luxury real estate and vacation homes to first-time buyers and commercial real estate. They even have a team dedicated to military relocation, working with military families in Jacksonville, Goldsboro, Fayetteville and other active bases.

Additionally, Century 21 Collective has six umbrella companies throughout Raleigh, Charleston, Charlotte and Fayetteville and a separate commercial division with three dedicated commercial brokers.

For Jenkins, being able to balance the benefits of working under a brand like Century 21 with maintaining her company’s own culture is one of the things she feels differentiates the firm from others in the area.

“This means we can have our own office culture here, which is very family-friendly and great for our agents,” Jenkins explains. “But at the same time, we get the benefits from the brand with great tools for our buyers and sellers. We have the benefit of being a globally recognized brand that’s everywhere from Taiwan to Spain, while being able to maintain our own identity and culture.”
