CCNB opens its first North Carolina branch in Ocean Isle Beach, expanding community banking and lending services to Brunswick County residents.

When Myrtle Beach-based Coastal Carolina National Bank (CCNB) was ready to grow beyond its origin state of South Carolina, the growing town of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, was the perfect choice. CCNB opened its first North Carolina branch, its 10th location overall, at 6649 Beach Drive in Ocean Isle Beach in November 2024.

The expansion reflects CCNB’s commitment to serving the growing financial needs of Brunswick County.

“We were eager to establish new business relationships beyond our South Carolina footprint, and Ocean Isle Beach couldn’t have been a better fit,” says CCNB Executive Vice President Justin M. Lee. “Opening a branch at this location allows us to serve Brunswick County immediately while we work toward establishing a permanent location nearby.”

Leading this important initiative for CCNB is Senior Vice President/Brunswick County Executive Kim Boyette. Under her leadership the team has already expanded to meet the needs of the community.

Recognizing the area’s strong residential housing market, CCNB recently welcomed Chris Whittington as Vice President and Mortgage Loan Officer.

“Chris’ vast experience, combined with our team’s ability to provide timely lending decisions, will be a tremendous benefit to customers who are interested in buying a new home or refinancing,” Boyette says. “Adding Chris to our team allows me to focus on commercial lending and ways we can support businesses throughout Brunswick County.”
