Building Better Babysitters
Brunswick 4-H is determining interest level in a babysitting certification class.
Do you have what it takes to be a babysitter? Brunswick 4-H wants to know if you are interested in participating in a babysitting program. This program is designed to help middle school and teenaged youth learn what it takes to be a responsible, caring, trustworthy, competent, capable and safe babysitter.
Youth ages 11 to 17 (6th to 12th) graders will be trained in essential areas including:
• Safety
• First Aid/CPR
• Child Development
• Nutrition
Youth will learn how to solve problems, how to keep children healthy and safe, and responsible decision-making skills. Upon completion, youth will earn a certificate and celebrate. The program consists of approximately eight hours of programming. Each youth participate will receive a kit with materials. Dates and times of the sessions will be determined based on interest in the program.
