Cape Fear Rehabilitation Services joins EmergeOrtho.

As of July 15, 2021, Cape Fear Rehabilitation Services, an established physical therapy and athletic training practice in Wilmington, has become part of EmergeOrtho, the largest physician-owned practice in the state.

Linda Bennett, MPT, and Dan Duffy, LAT, ATC, CSCS, will continue to see new and existing patients in EmergeOrtho’s Seagate building, located at 6019 Oleander Drive, Suite 101. This addition is EmergeOrtho’s tenth physical and occupational therapy location in southeastern North Carolina.

“Adding Linda and Dan helps us continue to fulfill our goal of offering integrated, physical therapy within EmergeOrtho in convenient locations throughout our community,” says EmergeOrtho CEO Stephen L. DeBiasi, FACHE, CMPE. “We’re very excited to have them join our team!”

In addition to the therapy and training services, the practice will continue to offer wellness, injury prevention, sports enhancement services and orthotics fabrication.

Across New Hanover, Brunswick and Onslow counties, EmergeOrtho offers an unparalleled team of 33 board-certified or board-eligible physicians, including many who are fellowship trained, plus 34 physician assistants and nurse practitioners and a dedicated team of therapists, technicians and support staff, all committed to delivering the highest level of orthopedic and spine care at a lower cost for patients.

Including the Seagate office, EmergeOrtho operates seven regional locations for advanced orthopedic care in the following subspecialties: spine, sports medicine, joint reconstruction and revision, hand and upper extremity, foot and ankle, podiatry and trauma. The medical staff also includes pain management specialists who provide many nonsurgical treatment options for musculoskeletal conditions.

EmergeOrtho also offers an advanced accredited MRI imaging program in four regional locations and three orthopedic urgent care locations called AccessOrtho, where patients can be diagnosed and treated immediately, saving the expense and hassle of an emergency room visit.

“Adding Cape Fear Rehabilitation Services to EmergeOrtho is a great fit, as both practices have enjoyed an outstanding reputation for putting patients first,” DeBiasi says. “The name describes our shared goal of helping patients emerge stronger, healthier and better.”
