Art Contest Winner
Charter Day School student Lily Lopez wins second place in Blueprint Brunswick 2040 Art Contest.
Charter Day School student Lily Lopez won second place amongst all 3 to 5 grade students in a Brunswick County art contest. The contest, entitled Blueprint Brunswick 2040, challenged students to create a piece of art envisioning Brunswick County in the year 2040. It was part of a larger Blueprint Brunswick initiative to create plans to guide future growth, decisions and investments in infrastructure and services within Brunswick County.
“I am so excited!” Lily says. “I based my artwork off what I think my neighborhood will be like in the future. It took a week for me to finish. I am super thankful for all the great art lessons we have received at Charter Day School. They really helped. I also love the art supplies I won.”
